Air Fryer Burger: A Juicy, Quick and Effortless Burger Experience

Craving a perfectly cooked burger without the hassle of grilling? The Air Fryer Burger is the answer. Using your air fryer, you can achieve a juicy, tender patty with a beautifully crisp exterior in a fraction of the time it would take on a traditional grill. Whether you’re preparing a classic beef burger or experimenting with plant-based alternatives, the air fryer makes it easier than ever to create a delicious and satisfying meal.

Cooking burgers in the air fryer ensures even heat distribution, locking in all the flavours and juices. With minimal oil and no need to flip the patties constantly, your burgers cook to perfection every time. Once your patties are ready, pile them high with your favourite toppings like cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a dollop of ketchup or mustard, all nestled in a soft bun.

Perfect for busy weeknights or weekend gatherings, Air Fryer Burgers are a quick and versatile option for burger lovers. The best part? You can customise your burger with a variety of toppings and condiments to suit your tastes, making it a meal the whole family can enjoy.

Air Fryer Burger

Prep Time:
5 minutes

Cook Time:
9 minutes

Servings:
4 servings

Ingredients

  • 500 g extra-lean ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  • 4 cheese slices
  • 4 burger buns

Toppings

  • Lettuce

Mayonnaise Sauce

  • 30 ml ketchup
  • 75 ml mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp relish or chopped pickles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all the meats, gently mixing so you don’t overmix. Shape and press into four burger patties, about 1/4 inch thick. Press a thumbprint indentation into each patty, and then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Select Air Fry on the Vortex and adjust temperature to 190°C and set time to 9 minutes. Preheat the air fryer until display indicates Add Food.
  3. When prompted, lightly spray the patties and place them into the frying chamber, with the indented hole downwards.
  4. When display indicates Turn Food, flip patties over and continue to cook until lightly browned and juices run clear when pierced. If you have a meat thermometer, then check the internal temperature reads 71°C.
  5. Place cheese slice on top of each burger and place back into the air fryer. Select Reheat at 200°C for 2 minutes so the cheese starts to melt.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup and relish and mix well.
  7. Once the burger and cheese is ready, assemble the burger by spreading the mayonnaise sauce inside of buns, place burger on bottom and garnish with toppings of your choice.
