Experience the perfect combination of crispy and savoury with our Battered King Oyster Mushrooms. These hearty, meaty mushrooms are coated in a light, golden batter and air-fried or baked to perfection, offering a delightful plant-based alternative to traditional fried foods. Their satisfying texture and rich flavour make them an ideal snack, appetiser, or even a main dish when paired with your favourite dipping sauce.
King oyster mushrooms are known for their dense, tender texture, which mimics the mouthfeel of meat, making them an excellent base for this crispy dish. After coating them in a seasoned batter, the mushrooms are cooked to a perfect crunch, while their interior remains juicy and flavourful. Whether you’re air frying or using your Instant Pot, these mushrooms come out light and crisp without the need for excessive oil, creating a healthier take on classic fried foods.
Serve these battered king oyster mushrooms as a crowd-pleasing starter, or pair them with a fresh salad or dipping sauces like garlic aioli or spicy mayo for a full meal. Their deliciously crispy exterior and tender centre make them a versatile and satisfying dish that will impress both vegetarians and meat lovers alike.
