4 x pineapple strips, roughly 2 x 2 cm/ 3/4 x 3/4 in. by length of pineapple
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Greek or plant-based yoghurt
grated lime zest, to serve


Simple and effective, air-frying pineapple brings out even greater sweetness and flavour.

  1. To start your pineapple kebabs, line the air-fryer with an air-fryer liner or a piece of pierced parchment paper.
  2. Preheat the air-fryer to 180°C/350°F. Stick small metal skewers through the pineapple lengthways.
  3. Mix the maple syrup and vanilla extract together, then drizzle over the pineapple and sprinkle over the cinnamon.
  4. Add the skewers to the preheated lined air-fryer and air-fry for 15 minutes, turning once.
  5. If any maple-vanilla mixture is left after the initial drizzle, drizzle this over the pineapple during cooking too.
  6. Serve the pineapple kebabs with yoghurt and lime zest.
