Perfect Instant Pot Quinoa
Light, fluffy and packed with plant-based goodness, this Perfect Instant Pot Quinoa is a foolproof way to cook this versatile grain with minimal effort. Whether you’re using it in salads, grain bowls, wraps or as a side dish, quinoa is a nutritional powerhouse – and the Instant Pot makes it quicker and more consistent than cooking on the hob.
Why Use the Instant Pot?
Quinoa cooks fast, but it’s easy to under- or overdo on the stove. The Instant Pot delivers perfect, fluffy results every time without any babysitting. No more soggy or burnt quinoa – just light, separate grains that hold their shape and soak up flavour beautifully.
Simple Steps for Perfect Quinoa
Start by rinsing your quinoa thoroughly to remove its natural bitterness. Then use a 1:1.25 ratio of quinoa to water (or stock for extra flavour). Pressure cook on high for 1 minute, followed by a 10-minute natural release. Fluff with a fork, and your quinoa is ready to serve or store.
Endlessly Adaptable
Quinoa is naturally gluten-free, high in protein and incredibly flexible. Use it warm in buddha bowls, as a base for stir-fries, or mixed into veggie patties. Serve it cold in Mediterranean-style salads with feta, herbs and lemon, or as a hearty filling in wraps and stuffed peppers. You can even stir in spices, garlic or olive oil before cooking for added depth.
Meal Prep Made Easy
Quinoa keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days and freezes beautifully, making it ideal for batch cooking. Prepare a big batch and portion it out for quick, nourishing meals throughout the week.
Quick, Healthy and Reliable
Once you try quinoa in the Instant Pot, you’ll never look back. This one-pot, hands-off method makes it easy to enjoy this super grain any day of the week – perfectly cooked, every single time.
