Air Fryer Mac and Cheese

Air Fryer Mac and Cheese


  • 4 slices bacon
  • 250 ml milk
  • 75 g macaroni
  • 80 g Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ½ clove garlic
  • Large pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp milk


  1. Select Bake on the Air Fryer and set the temperature to 191°C and time for 4 minutes and press start.
  2. When prompted to Add food, place the bacon inside and cook until desired crispiness. Once cooked, dice into small pieces.
  3. Using a dish big enough to fit into your Vortex, add the milk, raw macaroni, most of the cheese (save a bit for the end), Dijon mustard, bacon and garlic.
  4. Stir the ingredients together, cover the dish tightly with tin foil and place inside the Air Fryer.
  5. Select Air Fry, and set the temperature to 188°C and the time for 20 minutes, and Press start. (ignore when prompted to Add Food as your mac and cheese will already be inside!)
  6. When the cooking program finishes, take the macaroni and cheese our of the Air Fryer and remove the foil. Combine the milk and corn flour then add this to the macaroni, stirring into the sauce until evenly distributed.
  7. Cover the mac with the remaining cheese, Select Air Fry (or Grill) and cook for an additional 5-8 mins until golden and bubbly.
