Crispy Garlic Chickpeas


  • 400 g can chickpeas
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper


  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas and dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
  2. Spread chickpeas evenly on a small cooking tray and place inside the Vortex Air Fryer.
  3. Select AIRFRY, then adjust the temperature to 200°C and the time to 17 minutes, then touch START.
  4. When the display indicates “Add Food” remove the chickpeas, toss with olive oil and return to the cooking chamber.
  5. When the display indicates “Turn Food” stir the chickpeas.
  6. Watch the chickpeas in the last 2 minutes of cooking and stop the program when the chickpeas are a deep golden colour and crispy.
  7. Combine the herbs and once the chickpeas are ready toss them in the seasoning to cover.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
