Tasty Pulled Pork


  • 1.3 kg pork shoulder
  • 125 ml bbq sauce
  • 250 ml ginger beer
  • 1 large onion


  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried parsley


  1. Remove the extra layer of fat from the outside of the pork (as long as it comes away easily)
  2. Combine the rub ingredients and rub all over pork.
  3. Place the pork on the trivet inside the Inner Pot and pour over the bbq sauce and ginger beer, and toss the onions pieces on top.
  4. Select High Pressure and programme for 70minutes. Followed by natural pressure release.
  5. Remove the pork and shred with two forks.
  6. With the sauce still in the pot, select the Saute function and reduce the sauce to about 125ml.
  7. Add the pork back to the pot and keep warm.


Serving Suggestion:
Then serve this in an OLD EL PASO brand Stand-n-Stuff taco with iceberg, guacamole, sour cream, salsa (they sell all three in one pack so three of those) and grated cheese (could buy already grated):
