Ingredients

For the tofu

  • 450 g tofu – Cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

For the Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 Tbsp ginger
  • 4-5 cloves garlic
  • 1 small white onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp Chilli Sauce
  • 65 ml water
  • Salt to taste

To Serve

  • Spring Greens
  • Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the tofu cubes in a rectangle dish.
  2. Drizzle the 3 remaining tofu ingredients on top and toss to coat. Allow the tofu to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Select GRILL on Vortex Plus and set to 200°C for 10 minutes. Touch Start.
  4. When the display indicates Add Food, place the marinated Tofu into the frying chamber. At halftime, shake the basket so that they are evenly cooked.
  5. Once the grill cycle is done, remove the crispy tofu and set it aside.
  6. Heat oil in a wok, add the spring onions, ginger and garlic, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Add the white onion and red pepper, and toss over high heat for another 1 minute.
  8. Now add the black pepper, sauces – tomato ketchup, soy sauce, chilli sauce, and water and mix together. Reduce the heat and cook for 2 minutes.
  9. Add the crispy tofu and stir to coat well.
  10. Taste and season with salt if needed.
  11. Garnish with Spring Greens, sesame seeds, and serve with cauliflower rice.
